Arsenal force Matteo Guendouzi to train alone after he refuses to apoligise

Matteo Guendouzi has been forced by Arsenal to train alone for at least two weeks. It seems that the midfielder has not made a good impression with his club after his bust-up with Brighton Hove & Albion’s striker Neal Maupay several weeks ago. The French midfielder has had a meeting with Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu recently.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been dropped for all of Arsenal’s last four games and he has yet to state an apology for his action. Several reports claim that Guendouzi is not willing to make an excuse nor show a ‘willingness to change’. Though the Gunners feel the player has an enormous potential, the club is open to sell the midfielder this summer.

At his former club Guendouzi’s attitude was also considered to be a problem. A dressing-room incident directly led to the midfielder being banned from all club activities for over three months. Despite his mental issues, Guendouzi is a wanted man on the summer market. FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the €40m valued midfielder.
