Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has not been impressed by the comments of Mexico boss Gerardo Martino. The international manager believes that the Mexican striker would be better of leaving Wolves and sign for a club like Manchester United or Juventus.
Jimenez has been in good form for Wolves this season, scoring 24 goals across all competitions. He has been severely linked with a move away from Wolves, and the rumours have now intensified with Martino commenting on Jimenez’s future at Molineux.
He said: “It’s not an issue for us, we have a competition and a game to play. We have a lot of things in front of us. It’s not the moment to think about anything else. I’m sure Raul is totally, 100 per cent focused on what he has to do at Wolves.
“They are things which you can’t control, it’s up to you to decide if you pay attention or not. I admire Tata (Martino), he is a big manager, and honestly it doesn’t distract us.” It is believed Wolves are holding out for a €100m fee for the 29-year-old Mexican.
