FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has made a massive hint on the possibility of resigning Paris Saint-Germain winger Neymar. The club president was quoted by RAC1 and the Spaniard has made a clear statement on the rumours: Neymar will not be moving back to Barcelona this summer.
“Due to the economic crisis of all the European clubs a transfer like this seems very unlikely”, Bartomeu said. Paris Saint-Germain paid €225m three seasons ago to sign Neymar from Barcelona, but the forward has been reportedly unhappy in the French capital. Reports claim that PSG are ready to offload Neymar, but only for a fee in the €170m range.
Bartomeu also gave an update on the proposed Lautaro Martinez transfer. “We will start discussing our summer transfer plans after the season. We don’t have a date set for the discussion”, Bartomeu said. Inter is demanding at least €100m to €125m for the Argentinian forward.
