FC Barcelona have received a massive boost ahead of the final games of the season as midfielder Frenkie de Jong has returned to full training at the Blaugranas and could be available for their away game against Real Valladolid on Saturday.
De Jong suffered a calf injury on June 13 and has not been involved in Barcelona’s games since that moment. Without the Dutch international Barcelona threw away their two-point lead in La Liga over Real Madrid and the Catalans are now four points behind their arch rivals and could be out of the title race.
Barcelona will continue their league season with a home game against Espanyol on Wednesday. The club announced their 23-man playing squad for the match. As expected De Jong and Samuel Umtiti have not been included into the squad. The match in Nou Camp will start at 22:00 local time.
