OSC Lille‘s Victor Osimhen has snubbed a move to Italian side Napoli, confirms Football Italia. The Nigerian striker set foot in Naples last week to visit the facilities of the club, to take a tour through the city and speak with both coach Gennaro Gattuso’ and President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
After the meeting the striker has decided not to accept the offer from Napoli as he hopes a move to the Premier League will be possible. Sources at Football Italia confirm that Osimhen feels he has been pressured into accepting a quick move to Napoli that had all been arranged by his agent.
The Italian football website believes that Osimhen has not rejected Napoli per se, but rather an issue with his agent and his club Lille. The striker wants to move to the Premier League and is reportedly waiting for Arsenal, Manchester United or Newcastle United to make a move for him. Lille values Osimhen at €50m.
