AS Roma have fueled rumours for a summer transfer after it was clear that Roma boss Paulo Fonsecca has dropped Patrick Kluivert from his matchday squad to face Parma. Italian media are suggesting that Roma are ready to sell the youngster to a club from the Premier League, reportedly Arsenal.
While Kluivert has been struggling with his form since the lockdown from Italian football was lifted, the 21-year-old winger was included into every squad, starting against AC Milan and Napoli. According to Il Tempo journalist Filippo Biafora, the decision made by Roma coach Paulo Fonseca is a ‘technical’ one, but rumours about an exit are intensifying.
The son of former Ajax, AC Milan and FC Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert, joined Roma from Ajax in the summer of 2018 for an initial €17.25m and has three years left on his contract. The winger has made 29 appearances in all competitions this year, scoring 7 goals and providing two assists. Kluivert has also earned one cap for the Dutch national team.
