Real Madrid grow tired of Luke Jovic and plan to sell the forward

Real Madrid have decided they want to sell Luka Jovic this season. The young Serbian forward was signed from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, but he has struggled to earn minutes in the first team since joining the Spanish giants. Jovic was banned from training this week after he made contact with someone who has been tested positive on the coronacrisis. The forward has been put in self isolation for at least two weeks.

The Real Madrid board reportedly are fed up with Jovic’ behaviour during the coronavirus pandemic, as this is the third time the club has to intervene. In March he received criticism for traveling back to Serbia despite the lockdown rules and later on he was caught on social media hosting a barbecue with several Serbian footballers.

Meanwhile, Jovic has lost his position in the squad of Real Madrid to Mariano and the Serbian is now the second in line to replace Karim Benzema up front. Marca report that Madrid are actively looking to sell the forward, possibly even adding him as a make weight to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen. The 22-year-old has also been linked with a move to Italian Serie A side Internazionale as a replacement for Lautaro Martinez.
