Luka Jovic will not feature for Real Madrid for at least two full weeks. The Serbian has been placed in isolation after he had contact with a friend who has tested positive on the coronavirus. Despite Jovic tested negative and does not have any symptoms, Real Madrid have decided to not take any chances and put the striker in a full isolation.
This is the second time Jovic has been in the news due to the coronavirus. Shortly after the lockdown in Spain the forward decided to travel back to his hone nation Serbia to help his mother. He was then spotted in Belgrado, not taking any precautions against the virus. Madrid did not take any action against the forward, but did demand him to return to Spain.
Later on in June Jovic featured again in headlines after he held a barbecue at his house despite the lockdown. Nemanja Maksimovic (Atletico Madrid) and Ivan Saponjic (Getafe) attended the barbecue. Again Real Madrid did not take any actions, until now. The ‘third strike’ has been enough for the Spanish giants and they have now ordered Jovic to self isolate for at least two weeks.
