Thiago Alcantara sets sight on joining Liverpool, but still no offer

Thiago Alcantara has set his sight on completing a move to Liverpool, claims the Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. However, the Reds have not made an official offer for the Spanish midfielder just yet. Meanwhile, Bayern have accepted the fact that the midfielder wants to leave the club this summer and as a result have stopped negotiations for a new deal.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp recently stated he is in awe of the former FC Barcelona midfielder, but wasn’t prepared to make any comments on a possible transfer targets for the Reds. The German coach insisted that he is keen on finishing the season with Liverpool before he will be thinking about next season and the club’s transfer targets.

29-year-old Thiago is keen on a new adventure in his career after spending 7 seasons at Bayern. The midfielder has won the Bundesliga title in every season since joining from Barcelona and now wants a change of scenery. Weirdly enough the midfielder has only been linked with Liverpool, despite him being considered as one of the best midfielders in the world and being available at a cut price deal below €35m.
