Vinicius Junior misses Real Madrid training after ‘anomalous’ coronatest

All heads up at Real Madrid on Thursday. A day after the club announced that Luka Jovic was put in self isolation, left forward Vinícius Júnior missed training after suffering an ‘anomalous’ COVID-19 test, according to head coach Zinedine Zidane.

The Brazilian forward was forced to skip Thursday’s session after he received odd results from the COVID-19 test. He is now doubtful for the clash against Alaves on Friday. “The doctors informed me that the test went badly and that we need to repeat it,” Zidane told reporters.

Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic was placed in isolation by the club on Wednesday after he had contact with a friend who tested positive for the coronavirus. The 22-year-old Serbian has been linked with the virus on two earlier situations, once for traveling back to Serbia without permission and once for organising a barbecue with friends.
