Barcelona boss: ‘Winning the Champions League does not feel difficult for me’

FC Barcelona boss Quique Setien believes that his side mount the quality to lift the Champions League this season. The Spanish giants still have to play their second leg against Napoli in August, but already know their possible route to the final if they manage to beat the Italians. The first game in Naples ended in a 1-1 draw.

And if Barcelona manages to beat Napoli, they will be meeting up with either Chelsea or Bayern Munich in the quarter final. After that it could be possible that Barcelona will face arch rivals Real Madrid. Other possible opponents are Manchester City, Juventus and Olympique Lyon.

“It’s good to know our upcoming opponents, but we must first focus on beating Napoli”, Setien said on Friday. “We will play at home, which is fair. After La Liga, we’re going to take a few days off to rest and disconnect. Then we’ll get back to work and it’s a possibility to play a friendly game to prepare for the Champions League.”

“Whether I see us winning the Champions League? Absolutely. Winning the Champions League does not seem difficult to me”, Setien added. “I wish we could play against Napoli with the fans, but it is what it is, and we cannot complain.”
