Manchester City are close to complete the transfer of Ferran Torres, claims Cadena SER. The Spanish radio station claims that the English giants are currently in talks with Valencia over the winger and that the talks have reached an advanced stage. Man City will pay around €40m for Torres and the transfer will be confirmed after the Premier League season has ended.
Torres is considered to be one of the best young talents in the Spanish La Liga, having come through the Valencia academy. His contract at Los Che runs out in the summer of 2021 and despite efforts of Valencia to extend the deal, Torres has set his sights on a move away from the club.
The 20-year-old has made 24 appearances for Valencia this season and was recently linked to Manchester United as a possible alternative to Borussia Dortmund‘s Jadon Sancho. It is, however, Manchester City who will be signing Torres as a replacement for Leroy Sane, who joined Bayern Munich last week.
