Hakim Ziyech has completed his first training as a Chelsea player on Saturday. The Moroccan international completed a session at Cobham for the first time since he became a Chelsea player. The Blues confirmed to have signed Ziyech from Ajax in February for a €40m fee.
Ziyech has signed a five-year deal with Chelsea and today he began his preparations for the 2020/2021 season. The attacking midfield has yet to train with his new team-mates as they faced Sheffield United on Saturday. The Blues suffered a heavy loss to the Blades, damaging their hopes of a top four finish.
The former Ajax star had a light session with Chelsea’s fitness coach and he was welcomed to the training facility by current technical and performance adviser Petr Cech. 27-year-old Ziyech has been out of action since March 7 following the curtailment of the Eredivisie season.
