Norwich City relegated from the Premier League after West Ham loss

Norwich City are the first club this season to have been relegated from the Premier League. The Canaries lost 4-0 to West Ham United on Saturday and that loss has confirmed their drop to the Championship next season. This is the fifth time Norwich have been relegated from the Premier League, more than any other club.

Michail Antonio had a smashing game for the Hammers as the forward scored all four goals of the afternoon. The loss has left Daniel Farke’s side 13 points from safety with just three games left to play. The Canaries were promoted as Championship winners last season but have struggled to adapt to life in the top flight.

The yellow and green showed some quality at the start of the season with Finnish striker Teemu Pukki scoring one goal after another. In September they had even beaten champions Manchester City. Later on during the season their form dropped dramatically, leading to just two wins in their last 22 games. They have only scored 26 goals, while they also have the worst defensive record with 67 goals.
