Zinedine Zidane is unsure if James Rodriguez will play for Real Madrid again. The 28-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Spanish club for months and he was yet again left out of Madrid’s match squad on Friday. Real beat Alaves 2-0 to go another step closer to the title in La Liga.
The match against Alaves was the second straight game in which James was not in the squad. After the game Zidane was asked at a press conference if the midfielder would play for Madrid, Zidane said: “I don’t know.”
James joined Madrid in 2014 after a stunning performance at the World Cup in Brazil. Whil starting his Real career as a starter, he failed to impress under Zidane. He spent the past two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich and after his return to Madrid last summer he has only made 14 appearances for the club. Recently James revealed that Real blocked a transfer to Atletico Madrid.
