Arturo Vidal urges Barcelona teammates to keep fighting for La Liga title

Arturo Vidal scored the only goal of the game as FC Barcelona beat Real Valladolid 1-0 on Saturday. After the game the Chilean midfielder has called on his teammates to keep fighting for the championship in La Liga despite a four point gap between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Barcelona has closed the gap to Madrid to a single point, but now that Zinedine Zidane’s side have a game in hand. With three games to go, chances for Barcelona to win the title have slimmed down dramatically, but Vidal has urged his teammates to keep on fighting despite the odds being against them

“This was a difficult game, but the important thing is to win,” he told a post match interview with Marca. “We need to continue to fight in the championship. Our fate does not depend on us, but we must continue to give our maximum effort.” Real will play Granada on Monday and if they win, they are one win away from their first league title since 2017.
