Borussia Dortmund is determined to sell Jadon Sancho for their valuation of the winger and not a penny less. Dortmund’s Sporting director Michael Zorc has issued a warning to interesting clubs – and in special Manchester United – that their asking price ‘would have to be met 100 per cent’ to convince Dortmund to sell their star winger.
It is believed that Dortmund want €120m (£107M) and are not prepared to accept any lower bids. Recent reports have suggested that Manchester United have made an official approach for the England international, but that their offer was €55m. Dortmund has rejected the bid without any doubt and has now issued a warning to United.
Sancho is one of the most-wanted players in Europe this summer, but due to the coronavirus pandemic there aren’t many clubs who will be able to meet Dortmund’s asking price. This has helped Manchester United, as the Red Devils are the only club willing to dig deep in their pockets for Sancho. However, Dortmund feel United will have to dig a little deeper than the reported €55m.
