Chelsea reach agreement with Turkish goalkeeper Cakir

Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Trabzonspor to sign their goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, reports from Turkey have claimed.  The 24-year-old is considered as one of the best young goalkeepers outside of the top five European leagues and has been capped by Turkey twice.

Cakir has been linked with a move to the Premier League on multiple occasions, with Leicester City being tipped as a leading candidate, while Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move. Now though, it appears that Chelsea have made themselves the favourite to land the talented goalkeeper for next season.

Turkish outlet Haber 365 claim that Chelsea and Trabzonspor have reached an agreement on a €33m transfer. The rumours of Chelsea signing a new young goalkeeper intensify the rumours that the Blues are actively looking to sell Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Spaniard has been linked with a move back to Spain with Valencia being tipped as the hot favourite to land the former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper.
