Chelsea are seriously interested in bringing Declan Rice back to the club. The West Ham United midfielder has 8 spent years in the academy of the Blues, but never broke into the first team. Now Chelsea are interested in bringing the England international back to Stamford Bridge and are willing to include Fikayo Tomori into the deal.
Tomori had his breakout under Frank Lampard this season, but the young English defender has lost his spot in the heart of defense to Andreas Christensen in recent weeks. To allow the youngster to develop as a footballer, Chelsea are considering to send Tomori on a one or two-year loan spell to West Ham as part of the deal for Rice.
The 21-year-old Rice has been one of the most impressive youngsters in the Premier League this season and he has attracted the interest of several big teams, including Manchester City and Chelsea. Lampard is keen on developing Rice as a central defender, even though he has been impressing as a defensive midfielder at West Ham.
