Mario Mandzukic could make a swift return to the Serie A as the Croatian forward has been added to the shortlist of Fiorentina. Corriere dello Sport report that the Florence club has made contract with Mandzukic and his entourage to negotiate contract terms for next season.
Mandzukic currently is a free agent after he terminated his contract with Al-Duhail last week. The Croatian signed for the Qatari club in January from Juventus after he was dropped from the first team squad in Turin. He hoped to find new luck in Qatar, but decided to cut his stay in the Middle-East short to just six months.
And it is now expected that the experienced forward will be moving back to the Serie A for next season. Earlier Mandzukic was already linked with newly-promoted Benevento, but now Fiorentina have emerged as leading candidates to sign Mandzukic next season to pair him up with Franck Ribery.
