Pogba: ‘We can’t waste this trophy opportunity at Manchester United’

Paul Pogba has urged his teammates to step up their game in the final weeks of the 2019/2020 football season. If the Red Devils beat Southampton on Monday they will break into the top four of the Premier League, while the club is also competing for both the Europa League and the FA Cup. Pogba has set his sight on at least two pieces of silverware this season.

“United is about trophies, we know that. And there are trophies we know we can get and we can win”, Pogba told United review. “We don’t want to let this opportunity go away. We’re going to do our best to go and get those two trophies by giving everything.” United have made their way into the FA Cup semi-finals and have one foot in the last eight of the Europa League.

“We feel great. That is the mentality now – you have a positive mentality when you have a good result, but you also have to have the ability to get through the games like we did in the last few games”, Pogba added. United are currently on a 17 match unbeaten streak across all competitions and the midfielder feels his team has the confidence to keep winning.

“Every game is a final and we have to get the result that we need, that’s the mindset. It’s never enough for us, we have to carry on and keep fighting and keep pushing yourself to get better and better.” United will host Southampton on Monday and the Red Devils are aware that a win will push them up the table into third position.
