Matteo Guendouzi looks to be heading towards the exit at Arsenal this summer. The French midfielder is having a troublesome relationship with Mikel Arteta and the 21-year-old has not featured for the Gunners after his bust-up with Brighton Hove & Albion striker Neal Maupay. Guendouzi has been linked with a move away from the Premier League, but it is now suggested the midfielder could be making a move within the English league.
Former Premier League striker Stan Colleymore suggests that Guendouzi would be a good pick for Manchester City or Liverpool. The former Aston Villa striker points out the potential Guendouzi has and feels that experienced coaches like Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola would have the skills to manage Guendouzi’s attitude better than the inexperienced Arteta at Arsenal.
“Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp might feel he’s not good enough for Manchester City or Liverpool, but I’d be inclined to disagree, because being around good players he could thrive,” former Reds striker Collymore told The Mirror. “I’m not saying he’d get into either’s first XI now. But he could play for either club, the talent is that obvious.”
