Leroy Sane completed his first training at Bayern Munich on Monday and the German winger said he was ‘overjoyed’. Sane completed a €60m move from Manchester City last month as he signed a five-year contract with the German giants. The winger is looking to become the next club legend at the Allianz Arena.
“It was very good,” Sané said during a short video on Bayern’s social media. “It was a small group for training with Niklas Süle, but it was great to be out on the pitch again, completing my first session here on the training ground. I’m just overjoyed to be here.”
Sane left Schalke 04 four seasons ago and signed for Manchester City. He would make 135 appearances for the club, scoring 39 goals and providing 45 assists. In Man City’s record championship year in 2019, Sane was selected as the PFA Young Player of the year. During his time at the Etihad, Sane won seven trophies.
