Paris Saint-Germain want to sign a new right defender this summer and the Parisians have targeted RB Leipzig defender Nordi Mukiele as a potential target. The 22-year-old has been one of Leipzig’s top performers this season as the defender has helped his side qualify for the quarter finals of the Champions League.
PSG have lost Thomas Meunier to Borussia Dortmund recently and the French giants are keen on adding a new defender to their squad. Mukiele would fit PSG’s strategy as the current Ligue 1 champions want to sign young French players to build a strong squad to fight for the Champions League in the next couple of years.
Due to the limitations of Financial Fair Play, PSG are forced to focus on developing talent rather then spending €225m on a player like Neymar. Mukiele could be the ideal target for PSG. However, the defender has a contract until the summer of 2023 at Leipzig and the Germans could demand €40m for Mukiele.
