AC Milan have officially signed Simon Kjaer from Sevilla for a reported €3.5m. The Italian giants have confirmed the transfer of the Danish centre-back on their official website. Kajer has signed a contract with Milan until the summer of 2022.
The 31-year-old Kjaer arrived on loan from Sevilla in January as a direct replacement for Mattia Caldara, who returned to Atalanta. Since joining he has played 13 games for Milan in all competitions, becoming a first team regular and pairing up with Alessio Romagnoli in the heart of defense.
Kjaer has become the second loan signing to have signed a permanent deal after Milan already snapped up Alexis Saelemaekers. Kjaer has had a long career in football which has taken him to the biggest leagues across Europe. He has played for Palermo, VfL Wolfsburg, AS Roma, LOSC Lille, Fenerbahce, Sevilla, Atalanta and now AC Milan.
