Internazionale signed Christian Eriksen for €20m from Tottenham Hotspur in January, but the midfielder has not yet been enjoying his stay in Italy. He has yet to claim his place in the starting eleven and managed to grab only eight minutes of playing time during Inter’s last two Serie A matches.
Sport Mediaset reports that Inter would not be against Eriksen leaving the club during the summer window. If an interested club is willing to pay a €60m transfer fee, Inter would be happy to allow the Danish midfielder to leave the club. There have been reports that Antonio Conte did not want Eriksen in the first place and would have rather signed Arturo Vidal instead.
On Monday Eriksen was kept on the bench for 84 minutes in Inter’s match against Torino (3-1 win). After the game Conte added pressure on Eriksen: “Expectations are high in Italy. The bigger the name you are, the more people expect from you. He’s committed and doing well, but I have to make decisions for the good of Inter.”
