Luis Suarez would welcome Lautaro Martinez at FC Barcelona if the Spanish club decides to sign the Argentinian striker. The Internazionale forward has been linked with a move to the Blaugranas for weeks and it is reported that the club are currently preparing a €70m bid plus left-back Junior Firpo.
Over the past few weeks rumours about a potential Martinez transfer have gone from a reported bid, to Barcelona’s president claiming that his club won’t pursue the forward this summer. But with Suarez now openly talking about a possible new signing, signs are clearly there that a transfer could be possible this summer.
“He’s a truly great player. He’s been playing at a very high level for Inter,” referred to Martinez while talking with Sport. “It’s not easy to move to Italy from Argentina and show everything he has in a league as difficult as the Italian one. He’s young and we’ll try to help him if he comes to Barca, to adapt and make him feel comfortable.”
