AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has attracted the interest of Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. The 23-year-old has been put on the shortlist of Julian Nagelsmann as the youngest manager in Germany is keen on challenging Bayern Munich for the title next term. According to La Republica RB Leipzig will make an offer for Kessie once the Serie A season has ended.
The report from the Italian outfit claims that RB Leipzig are in the market for a defensive midfielder after they sold Diego Demme to Napoli in January. Kessie has two years left on his contract at AC Milan and it is believed the Italians are ready to cash in for the midfielder. There have been rumours the Italian giants would demand around €45m for Kessie.
The Ivorian international has been one of Milan’s best performers this season and the midfielder has played in every single game for the Rossoneri ever since Italian football returned in June. Kessie has made a total of 29 Serie A appearances this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Milan signed Kessie in 2017 from Atalanta for a €32m transfer fee.
