Luka Jovic could be making a return to the Bundesliga next season. The Serbian striker has failed to impress at Real Madrid after he was signed from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth €60m last summer. Marca now reports that Jovic could be on his way to Hertha Berlin as investor Lars Windhorst is a great admirer of the forward and would love to sign him for his club this summer.
Jovic has been struggling to get settled in at Real Madrid, starting just four La Liga games and scoring two goals over the entire season. The striker also made the headlines this season for not following the corona lockdown rules and for being put in isolation by Madrid after a friend of Jovic was tested positive for the corona virus.
It is believed Madrid has had enough of the striker and are open to sell him this summer. Earlier on Jovic was linked with AC Milan, who are looking to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer. However, the Italians would have problems meeting Real Madrid’s €40m asking price. This would not be the case for Hertha Berlin, who are planning to storm the top of the German Bundesliga after the club was taken over last season.
