Ricardo Rodriguez has returned to AC Milan following a loan spell at Dutch giants PSV. The Swiss left full-back spent six months on loan at the Eredivisie club and it is believed that the club had an option to sign Rodriguez on a permanent deal for a fee under €5m. However, PSV decided against signing the defender this summer.
Due to the corona virus lockdown in March, Rodriguez only managed to make six appearances for PSV without any goals or assists. The 27-year-old has now returned to AC Milan, reports SportItalia. The defender will not be able to play for Milan in the remaining games in the Serie A.
Despite returning to Milan it is expected that the Swiss international will be leaving the San Siro this summer. There has been interest from Germany with 1899 Hoffenheim, Hertha Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt. It would mean a return to German football for Rodriguez after he enjoyed a very successful spell at VfL Wolfsburg.
