Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has warned Chelsea for their interest in left-back Ben Chilwell, insisting that the England international is not for sale at any price. The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Chelsea for several weeks and most recently Manchester United.
Chilwell will sit out the final two matches of the Premier League season, unable to help his side defend a top four place against both Chelsea and Manchester United. Rodgers is adamant Chilwell has not played his final game for the club. “He’s a Leicester City player and not a player we want to lose,” Rodgers said.
Asked about his star players being linked to other clubs, Rodgers said: “I’m quite relaxed on it. I’m not worried at all. We’ve got a fantastic squad, a squad we want to keep together. There’s no intention to sell Ben Chilwell and there’s absolutely no need to sell. So the message is he’s not for sale – it’s as simple as that.”
