Thiago Alcantara is looking to complete a move from Bayern Munich to Liverpool this summer. According to Bild the Premier League champions have agreed personal terms with the midfielder, while the negotiations with Bayern Munich have reached an advanced stage. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has given Liverpool his approval to finalise the transfer.
Bayern are demanding €40m for the 29-year-old, while Liverpool opened bidding at €27m. The clubs have been talking over the past few weeks and it is believed that they could reach an agreement on a €30m transfer fee with several performance bonuses. Liverpool are ready to finalise the deal once the Premier League has concluded.
The talks between Bayern and Liverpool also concern the return of the Champions League in August. The Germans want to keep Thiago available for the remaining matches, while Liverpool want to welcome the midfielder as soon as possible as they prepare for next season. Bayern will restart the Champions League in August, playing the return match of their round of 16 against Chelsea.
