Sevilla and Atletico Madrid will be battling to sign Valencia captain Dani Parejo this summer, reports Radio Taronja. With Los Che having a mass clear out during the off-season, both La Liga giants hope to sign the 31-year-old midfielder for a reduced fee. Parejo is one of twelve players to have been told they would be allowed to leave Valencia.
Parejo joined Valencia in 2011 and has played over 350 games for the club. In recent seasons Parejo has worn the armband, becoming one of the fans most favourite players at the club. Despite being at Valencia for almost a decade, the Spanish club will allow the Spain international to move clubs as they are looking to rejuvenate the squad.
The report from Radio Taronja also claims that Sevilla will try to sign more players from Valencia, as the club is looking to bolster their squad for next season’s Champions League adventure. Francis Coquelin, Mouctar Diakhaby and Rodrigo Moreno have all been linked with a move to the club from Andalusia.
