Gareth Bale has been left out of Real Madrid’s 22-man squad for their final La Liga game of the season. Bale has made only two appearances since the return of Spanish football, being an unused substitute for the past four games, including Madrid’s title winning match against Villarreal.
Bale has been making the headlines in Spain during the past few weeks but not for his performances on the pitch. The 31-year-old has been goofing around on the bench, pretending to sleep and pretending to use binoculars to have fun with his team-mates. Also, after Madrid won the title, Bale stood at a distance with his arms folded.
The club has confirmed that Eden Hazard will also be missing Real’s final league game of the season. The Belgian winger has a small injury and is not fit enough to make the trip to Leganes. The hosts are in 18th place, a point behind Celta de Vigo and they will need to beat the freshly crowned champions to avoid relegation from the La Liga.
