Laurent Blanc offered to Barcelona to succeed Setien in Champions League

Laurent Blanc has been offered to FC Barcelona by super agent Jorge Mendes, Mundo Deportivo reports. The French manager is currently unemployed and he has been offered to the Spanish club to succeed Quique Setien and lead Barcelona into the return of the Champions League in August.

Setien and Barcelona are currently in talks about the manager’s future after missing out on the league title to Real Madrid. Though it is expected that Setien will be on the bench on Sunday during Barcelona’s final league game, there have been rumours that the club is ready to offload him before the Champions League restarts in August.

Blanc has been without a club ever since he left Paris Saint-Germain in 2016, despite leading the club to three league titles. He has also won a Ligue 1 title with Girondins Bordeaux and he reached the quarter finals on Euro 2012 with the France national team. It is also believed that Mendes has offered Blanc to Valencia.
