Manchester City are planning to offer Kevin de Bruyne a new contract, claims Metro. The Belgian midfielder’s current deal is set to expire in 2023, but Man City are keen on extending that contract with at least two more seasons. It is believed that the Citizens are preparing an offer worth €330.000-a-week.
That salary would make De Bruyne the club’s top earner, confirming the Belgian international’s status as the club’s most important player. According to Metro talks with De Bruyne and his representatives have already started and source around the club claim that City are confident that an agreement is close.
The report from Metro also claims that once De Bruyne has signed his new deal, the club will be working on new deals for two other key figures at the club: Pep Guardiola ad Raheem Sterling. After Man City’s two-year European ban has been lifted by the CAS, the club is keen on tying down their most prized assets.
