Zidane refuses to commit future to Real Madrid: ‘You’ll never know what will happen’

Zinedine Zidane has refused to commit his future to Real Madrid at a press conference. The French coach was asked if he will be staying on at the Spanish giants, but Zidane refused to comment on the questions. Instead he told the reporters that ‘anything’ can happen in football. Zidane and Madrid claimed the Spanish La Liga on Thursday after beating Villarreal.

Zidane returned to Madrid about a season ago after the club sacked former player Santiago Solari. The French coach finished the season and in his first full season back, Zidane managed to claim his 11th trophy as manager of Real Madrid. Despite Zidane being extremely successful as manager in the Spanish capital, he admits that in football everything can change very quickly.

“No-one knows what will happen,” he said at a press conference ahead of their final league game of the season. “I have a contract, I like being here, but you never know what will happen in football. It changes from one day to the next in this sport. I don’t know what will happen in the future.” Zidane has never made it a secret he would love to manage his former club Juventus.
