David de Gea blunders as Chelsea reach FA Cup final

Chelsea will face Arsenal in the FA Cup final after beating Manchester United 3-1 at Wembley. Goals were scored by Olivier Giroud, Mason Mount, Harry Maguire (own goal) and Bruno Fernandes. Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea had a poor performance his team, making errors at two of the three Chelsea goals.

The first half neither team was able to open the score. Nearing the end of the first half Eric Bailly and Harry Maguire collidided in the air. Bailly had to be stretchered off the pitch. In the extra time that was added due to the injury treatment Chelsea would open the score. Olivier Giroud was found by Cesar Azpilicueta at the first post and De Gea couldn’t save it.

At the start of the second half Chelsea doubled their score through Mason Mount. The young midfielder’s shot looked easy to save for De Gea, but the Spanish forward failed to keep the shot out of his goal: 2-0. Fifteen minutes before the end of the game Maguire scored an own goal following a cross from Marcos Alonso to make it 3-0. In the dying moments of the game Fernandes was given the opportunity to score a penalty and he did not fail. The Portuguese scored the 3-1, which was the final score.
