Mason Greenwood will be rewarded by Manchester United with a new long-term contract once the season has completed. The 18-year-old forward has had a stunning season for the Red Devils, scoring 18 goals in 46 appearances. United have decided to reward Greenwood with a new contract with a massive wage hike.
The England U21 international signed a new contract for United less than twelve months ago, upgrading his youth contract to a full professional contract and a €23.000-a-week salary. Mirror reports that Greenwood will be offered a pay-raise of almost 100 per cent, pushing his weekly salary up to around €45.000.
Greenwood and Manchester United will be trying to secure a spot in the FA Cup final when they take on Chelsea in the semi-final on Sunday. Earlier Arsenal beat Manchester City 2-0 to take the first spot in the final. Greenwood is expected to start alongside Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial up front for Manchester United.
