Jadon Sancho has put pressure on Borussia Dortmund as the young winger is keen on returning to England this summer. The 20-year-old has been one of the club’s key performers in the past two seasons but has set his sight on a move to Manchester United. Sky Deutschland reports that Sancho has now officially told Dortmund he wants to leave the club.
While he has not made an official transfer request, he expects that the board of Dortmund will be prepared to open talks with interested clubs. The Germans are sill demanding €120m for Sancho and have already made clear that they are not willing to negotiate terms for anything below their valuation. There have been rumours of Sancho going on ‘strike’ to force a deal, but it is unclear if the youngster is actually prepared to force his way out of the club.
Meanwhile Manchester United are still hoping to convince Dortmund to accept their offer. It is claimed that the Red Devils have offered an initial €60m which could rise up to €90m through a series of bonuses. Manchester have made Sancho their top transfer target this summer and are desperate to land him. If they fail to sign him this summer, Sancho will be one of the hottest players in either the January window or next summer. Real Madrid are also interested but will not be making any summer signings due to the coronacrisis pandemic.
