Everton receive transfer blow as super agent Jorge Mendes interferes

Everton have received a possible transfer blow in their hunt to sign Napoli midfielder Allan. The Brazilian midfielder is set to leave the Italians this summer and he appeared to be on his way to Goodison Park. Reports from Italy now claim that super agent Jorge Mendes has interest to bring Allan to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Portuguese agent has a big role at the Molineux and has already brought the club players like Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Diogo Jota. Now reports claim that Mendes has made contact with Allan in an attempt to convince him to join Wolves ahead of Everton next season.

The Toffees are coached by Carlo Ancelotti who has worked with Allan at Napoli. Under the Italian coach the Brazilian played an important part. But ever since Gennaro Gattuso took over, Allan has found himself out of the team. He could have left Napoli in January for Paris Saint-Germain, but the Parisian offer did not match Napoli’s valuation.
