Callum Hodson-Odoi has reportedly grown unhappy at Chelsea after the young English winger saw how his club completed two major signings of Hakim Ziyech (Ajax) and Timo Werner (RB Leipzig). Both summer signings are able to play on the wings, which could mean Hudson-Odoi’s playing time could be limited next season.
Hudson-Odoi had a strong first half of the season as he managed to push through his breakout season under Maurizio Sarri last season. However, since the return of football the winger has fallen down the pecking order behind Christian Pulisic and Willian. And despite the Brazilian likely leaving after this season, Hudson-Odoi is fearing his role will not change next season.
And next season the competition at Stamford Bridge is looking to become tougher for the young winger. The arrival of both Ziyech and Werner will be a boost for Chelsea’s attacking power, while the Blues are also working on a transfer for Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz.
