Celtic manager Neil Lennon has blasted Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jr after he saw his side were beaten 4-0 in a friendly match. Before the game Lennon told his players to be careful when attacking Neymar as the Brazilian forward is known for his tricks and winning free-kicks.
Neymar played a huge part in the 4-0 PSG win and that frustrated Lennon: “He was just trying to wind people up,” the Celtic boss told the Daily Record. “I said to the players you just have to keep your discipline and not take the bait really. He is infuriating but he knows it.”
Kylian Mbappe and Neymar both scored a goal in the first half as PSG were the better team to Celtic. In the second half the French giants made a wholesale of substitutions but remained in control. Marco Verratti and Ander Herrera combined just three minutes into the second half to fire in a third and then Pablo Sarabia finished the score at 4-0.
