Chelsea are still in the market for a new goalkeeper and the Blues have been linked with many different players. The Manchester United Evening News has now reported that Chelsea are prepared to offer Dean Henderson a huge €200.000 per-week contract to lure him away from Manchester United this summer.
The goalkeeper is currently on loan at Sheffield United and it is expected that he will be returning to the club once the Premier League season has ended. The 23-year-old has been impressing for the Blades during his loan spell but he is aware that he will have to compete with David de Gea for a spot in goal at Old Trafford.
Despite the Spaniard’s errors over the past few months, United still have the utmost confidence in his abilities as a goalkeeper. There has been speculation of Henderson not willing to play second fiddle at United next season and he could be requesting a transfer. Chelsea could be ready to jump in if that moment arrives.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has asked his board to sign him a new goalkeeper as he is not happy with Kepa Arrizabalaga, the world’s most expensive shot-stopper. The club has been linked with several goalkeepers over the past few weeks, including Andre Onana (Ajax) and Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid).
