Kylian Mbappe has ended speculations on his future after the French winger revealed he will be staying at Paris Saint-Germain next season. There have been speculations that the forward would be looking out for a new club, but after PSG beat Celtic 4-0 in a friendly Mbappe made clear he will not be looking for a transfer this summer.
“I am here, I am in this project for a fourth year. This is the 50th year of the club, it is an important year. I will be here no matter what. I am going to try to win my team trophies and to give the best of myself.” Mbappe was on the scorelist on Tuesday as PSG beat Scottish champions Celtic ahead of the Coupe de France final on Saturday.
With Mbappe staying for at least another season, PSG are looking to have a busy transfer summer next year. Reports have been intensifying that Real Madrid are keen on the forward and next summer Mbappe approaches the final year of his contract. If he rejects to extend his deal in the following months, PSG will be forced to sell him.
Meanwhile the club are expected to lose Neymar to FC Barcelona next summer. The Brazilian has been trying to find a move back to the Spanish club since last summer but is aware that Barca is not able to meet PSG’s transfer demands. Neymar will also enter the final year of his contract next season and he could also be sold as PSG want to avoid the forward to leave on a free transfer following his record €225m transfer in 2017.
