Tottenham Hotspur is keen to make a move for AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo this summer, reports Corriere della Sera. It is believed that a number of clubs are keeping track of the young Italian midfielder, with Roma possibly under pressure to sell him during the summer transfer window.
Juventus and Internazionale have both shown interest in Zaniolo, but Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta already stated his club won’t be making a move this summer. The 21-year-old has played 28 games for Roma this season and has emerged as one of the future stars of Italian football.
Zaniolo has been capped five times for the Italian national team and the midfielder would be open to a move to the Premier League. It is believed that if Roma would consider a sale, that they will be demanding €55m for the talented midfielder. Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is ready to make investments into his squad as he is looking to bring the club back into the top four of the Premier League after missing out this season.
