Atletico Madrid are not prepared to negotiate a deal for Jan Oblak, reports the Daily Mail. The goalkeeper is wanted by several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea. The Spanish giants will demand the full €120m release clause and are not prepared to accept bids below that clause.
There have been signs that Oblak is looking to leave the club this summer as the report suggests that Oblak is unhappy with the decision-making of Atlético sporting director Andrea Berta. The goalkeeper is said to be aware of Chelsea’s interest and could be open to a move once the Blues decide they want to offload Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer.
It also believed that Manchester United are interested in signing Oblak, but with David de Gea and Dean Henderson at the club that seems unlikely. Atletico Madrid, however, have already made a shortlist with possible replacements for Oblak. PSG’s Alphonse Areola, Ajax’s Andre Onana, Burnley’s Nick Pope and Manchester United’s Dean Henderson are reportedly on that list.
