Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce wants to sign two new forwards this summer as the head coach is keen on storming the top ten of the Premier League next season. Several reports from England claim that Newcastle are ready to land bids for Real Madrid‘s Luka Jovic and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.
Jovic joined Madrid last summer in a €60m move from Eintracht Frankfurt. The Serbian enjoyed a difficult first season in the Spanish capital and there are rumours Real would be looking to offload the 22-year-old. The Express claim that Newcastle want to sign Jovic on a one-year loan spell and could be open to add a buy clause to the deal.
The club is also eyeing Bournemouth striker Wilson, but only if the Cherries are relegated from the Premier League. 28-year-old Wilson has developed into a good goal scoring striker in the Premier League, scoring 41 goals in 125 league appearances. Wilson is valued at around €25m, but his price could be lower if Bournemouth are relegated from the Premier League.
And that could be the case on Sunday. The club sit in 19th position and have a three point gap to both Watford and Aston Villa. Bournemouth will close the season with an away game at Everton on Sunday and the Cherries need to hope that Villa will lose away at West Ham, while Watford must lose their trip at Arsenal.
