Arsenal want Wolves’ Jimenez if Aubameyang decides to leave this summer

Arsenal have still not reached an agreement with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over a new contract. The two sides have been talking about a new deal for months without the result of a new multi-year contract for the striker. Reports now claim that the Gunners are fearing they will lose the Gabon international and have been looking at possible replacements.

Le10Sport have now reported that Arsenal have been looking at Wolverhampton Wanderers star Raul Jimenez. The Mexican international tops Mikel Arteta’s wanted list at the Emirates if the club fails to secure Aubameyang on a long-term contract. However, it is believed that Wolves are demanding around €100m for Jimenez.

Therefore Arsenal have made a shortlist of possible replacements for their club captain. Olympique Lyon‘s Moussa Dembele and Memphis Depay are reportedly on the list, as goes for Newcastle United‘s Allan Saint-Maxim and Celtic‘s Odsonne Edouard. Meanwhile Aubameyang has been linked with moves to FC Barcelona and Juventus.
