FC Barcelona remain calm over the proposed contract talks between Lautaro Martinez and Internazionale. The Spanish giants want to sign the Argentinian but lack the funds needed to sign him this summer. With that in mind Inter announced that have plans to offer Martinez a new contract but Barcelona are confident he will not sign a new deal as he has decided he wants to join Barcelona.
The two clubs have spoken about a transfer in June and July with Barcelona offering a player plus cash deal for Martinez. The Italians would like to have Junior Firpo added into the deal while it has also been rumoured that they have told Barcelona they want Arturo Vidal. However, Inter are still demanding a big fee even if Barcelona will agree to adding one or multiple players into the deal.
A report from Sport now claims that Barcelona will re-initiate talks with Inter once their Champion League campaign has concluded. The Catalan giants do not have any haste to force a deal as the Argentinian has already agreed on personal terms and has reportedly told Inter his desire to switch clubs this summer.
